A beautiful macroalgae with long smooth branching fronds that range from deep maroon and rusty red to olive green depending on lighting and nutrients. This species develops graceful, flowing growth that adds natural movement and texture to macroalgae displays, lagoon systems, and seagrass-style aquariums.
This hardy macro thrives under most conditions. It tolerates temperature, flow and even salinity swings making it a great choice for beginners! Its slender branching structure creates excellent cover for pipefish, gobies, shrimp, and other small reef inhabitants while also helping absorb excess nutrients from the water column. True to most Gracilaria species, it also has antibacterial properties that can be very beneficial to your tank.
Unlike thicker or bushier Gracilaria species, this variety keeps a softer, cleaner appearance with elegant flowing strands that sway beautifully in current.
