Warty Frogfish (Antennarius maculatus)

This Warty (Maculatus) Frogfish - affectionately known here as “Alfredo” - has been fully quarantined for a minimum of 14 days and trained to eat frozen food! He readily accepts frozen Silversides every 3–5 days and will also take live saltwater mollies or saltwater grass shrimp when offered. No need to rely solely on live feeding - Alfredo is healthy, eating well, and ready for his next home.

The Maculatus Frogfish, commonly called the Warty Frogfish, is a favorite for good reason. This quirky little ambush predator has loads of personality and incredible camouflage. Each individual sports a unique color pattern - often orange, yellow, white, or mottled with darker patches - and can even change color over time to match its surroundings.
